Contracts and labor: The board approved the FY26–FY28 integrated collective bargaining agreement for Department of Public Works employees (AFSCME Local 1702 units A and B). Board members said the agreement had been ratified by the unions and previously approved at Town Meeting; the motion carried with one member recorded as opposed.
Utilities and right‑of‑way: The board voted to approve two petitions from Massachusetts Electric Company (d/b/a National Grid) and Verizon New England to install joint poles — one on Elm Street (coordinates read into the record) and one on Chestnut Street — to support utility infrastructure.
Donations and licenses: The board accepted a $1,200 donation from Dr. Riad Mortada for a memorial bench honoring Ahmed K. Mortada.
