Kingsburg council adopts updated master fee schedule, approves ambulance fee adjustments

The Kingsburg City Council on June 2 adopted Resolution 2026-018, updating the city's master fee schedule to take effect July 1, 2026. The vote followed a staff presentation and a public hearing that received no public comment.

City Manager Alexander Henderson told the council the ambulance service fee adjustment is proposed based on the Los Angeles-Long Beach consumer price index for April 2026 and "this year reflects an increase of 3.4%." He also said staff recommends raising the ALS1 compensation rate by $200 while reducing the ALS2 rate by $200, and adding a $35 fee for firefighter EMT services. Henderson said the city would establish a new $50-per-hour fee for SCBA cylinder refills when provided to local businesses. Other changes include trolley rental and notary fee increases and renaming an annual self-inspection program to better reflect statemandated inspections for facilities such as daycares and schools.
