Commissioners debate restoring PreK funding as budget omits last year's amendment

Several commissioners urged prioritizing PreK's long-term goal of universal access and called for the mayor's office and the program fiscal agent to appear with a multi-year funding plan and participation data. The item remained a discussion item; committee members requested a follow-up briefing and specific accounting of available rollover funds ahead of the June 10 meeting.
