The Town of Southeast board approved several routine and project resolutions during its June 13 regular meeting.
The board accepted the report of examination of the Town Justice Courts for the period ending Dec. 31, 2023, certifying compliance with section 2019‑a of the Uniform Justice Court Act. The board also adopted a public interest order under Town Law authorizing an increase in the estimated maximum cost for improvements to the Starridge Manor water district to $2,550,000. The notice attached to the order states the project will encompass design and construction of water filtration, purification and distribution improvements and will be financed by serial bonds and assessments on benefited properties; the order is adopted subject to permissive referendum and requires the town clerk to publish and post the full text and exhibits.
The board also adopted a resolution renaming a private road running from Zimmer Road into a currently undeveloped lot as Endo Way (private) and directed the highway superintendent to install appropriate signage. All motions were moved, seconded and recorded in the transcript as “all in favor.”
