Council honors Miss St. Francis titleholders and commends long‑time city employee Anne Ekker

The council read and adopted resolutions congratulating both titleholders and extending the city’s best wishes for the Miss Wisconsin and Miss Wisconsin Teen competitions.
The council also adopted a resolution commending Anne Ekker, who began her career in the clerk/treasurer’s office on May 19, 1992, for more than 34 years of service; the resolution noted her role in administering elections and stewarding city records. Ekker announced her retirement effective May 29, 2026 and the council invited photos and offered thanks.
