The City of New Carlisle council moved on June 1 to appoint Raven Yankee to the Social Services Commission following an executive-session review of applicants.
The motion to appoint was made by Councilwoman Agelson and seconded by Vice Mayor Shammy; council members recorded unanimous affirmative votes. After the vote, council administered an oath of office to Raven Yankee that included pledges to support the U.S. Constitution, the Ohio Constitution, the city charter and municipal ordinances.
Council and staff said the appointment will be finalized in commission records at the Social Services Commission’s next meeting where a printed oath will be signed and retained for the city’s records. No objections to the appointment were recorded during the session.
