Horseheads trustees remove 2–6 a.m. parking ban, increase parking fines and accept donation in consent votes

At its Oct. 2 meeting the Village of Horseheads board approved several routine measures by roll call.
Trustees voted to remove the 2–6 a.m. no‑parking restriction and separately approved updated parking fines with an escalating structure keyed to repeated violations. The board recorded roll call votes for each resolution but did not read a full member tally aloud during the meeting.
The trustees also approved the Sept. 18 meeting minutes as distributed and accepted a $150 gift from Kowanus for the 2026 fireworks display.
No contentious debate accompanied the votes. Manager Nate said staff would finalize the written resolutions and publish them for public record.
