The Pasco County Board approved a motion to authorize a $250,000 expenditure and to allow the county administrator to execute an agreement with a production company, subject to review by the clerk, controller and county attorney. The motion instructed the administrator to cash‑flow the approved amount within approved budgets and to advertise a public hearing to amend the county ordinance where necessary for reimbursement procedures.
The motion as read into the record said, in part, "move to approve a $250,000 expenditure and authorize the county administrator to execute an agreement with the production company subject to review by the clerk, controller, and county attorney in order to expedite funding; authorize the county administrator to cash flow the approved amount within the approved budgets in the general fund." The clerk recorded the vote as four in favor and one opposed; the motion passed.
Separately, staff announced a $4 million FEMA grant for wastewater lift‑station generator connections and said the county intends to lift the burn ban based on recent rainfall. Those announcements were made as part of other board business and are recorded in the meeting minutes.
