The Voorhees Township Committee approved on second reading an ordinance to release, vacate and extinguish public rights in a portion of property on Paul Street and Morton Avenue, subject to certain terms and to authorize placement of a street sign on township right‑of‑way.
The Chair read the ordinance and opened the public portion for comment; no residents came forward. A motion to close the public portion was made and seconded, and the roll call vote carried, adopting the ordinance on second reading.
The ordinance text as read authorizes the township to extinguish public rights in a defined portion of the listed property subject to specified conditions and to permit a street sign on township property; the committee did not record substantive public debate at the meeting.
The ordinance will follow the township’s enactment procedures following second reading.
