Councilman Donaldson told the City of Colorado Springs Council during the May 26 work session that he would like to participate in a Chamber of Commerce delegation to Huntsville, Alabama to meet with business and military program leaders and to learn from their decisions.
“This is Councilman Donaldson, and I would like to participate in the Chamber of Commerce… to Huntsville, Alabama to meet with, and learn from business and military, programs and decisions that they have made there. I’d like to be part of that group,” Donaldson said.
Council President Crow Iverson asked for a show of thumbs up from council members; the president and council indicated support and there were no objections recorded during the work session. The president then closed the work session for a 10-minute break and said the regular meeting would resume at about 9:20 a.m.
A council member later asked when citizens’ comments would be scheduled; the president estimated roughly 3–4 p.m. but noted the exact time could vary depending on the day’s agenda.
