The Connecticut Board of Nursing on May 12 approved the appointment of Ann Lundy as program administrator for the LPN program at Connecticut State Community College, Quinnipog Valley, after a qualifications review and roll-call vote.
Dr. Matt Grisswald, dean of faculty and students for CT Quinnipog Valley, introduced institutional attendees and the outgoing administrator, Dr. Kimberly Griffiths. Ann Lundy introduced herself to the board and summarized her experience, including 23 years in education and clinical practice.
A board member identified as S moved to find that Ann Lundy met the qualifications under board regulations; Lisa seconded. During discussion board members reviewed Lundy's documentation (resumes, transcripts) and acknowledged potential recusals. The roll-call vote recorded one abstention (a board member who said she would recuse because Lundy is a faculty member) and the remaining voting members approved the finding. The board recorded the motion as passed and extended congratulations to Lundy and thanks to the outgoing administrator.
The board asked staff to note the appointment in the minutes and to provide any necessary documentation to the program; no amendment to program approval status was recorded as part of this vote.
