- FY27 appropriation resolution: The board adopted clarifying language that leaves annual appropriations in place, clarifies the administrator’s ability to transfer up to $10,000 between departmental budgets, and reaffirms limits on board amendments without a public hearing.
- Ordinance amendment (Chapter 12, Taxation — repeal of section 12-18B): The board voted to approve the change as presented; alternatives including a sunset or grandfather clause were discussed prior to the unanimous vote.
- Rescind hiring freeze: The board voted to rescind a hiring freeze enacted in January, allowing departments (notably Parks & Rec) to refill essential positions.
Additional committee actions approved on consent included licensing the Carver Alumni Museum at the Carver Center, advertising a public hearing for a cable franchise ordinance change to move to five-year terms, personnel committee recommended bonuses for state compensation board positions, and approval of minor PMP adjustments tied to a move to biweekly payroll.
