During public comment at the May 26 Montgomery Village Board meeting, Danita Flores read a written statement alleging the Montgomery Police Department, through acting representative Miss Quinn and Commander PCO, declined to properly investigate multiple formal complaints and that commanders concluded no policy violations occurred in 2023–24.
Flores cited Montgomery Police Department policy 10009 and the Illinois Domestic Violence Act, saying that in seven reports officers failed to comply with department policies and state reporting requirements and that municipal code section 122H was not enforced in her earlier police reports alleging harassment, death threats and obscene messages directed at minors. She said she had submitted her comment in writing and would like it included in the record; the chair replied that the written comment was received and would be delivered to the board, noting the meeting would not read all emailed comments aloud.
No department representative provided a substantive response on the record during the public-comment period. The chair ended Flores’s two-minute speaking time and assured her written materials would be passed to trustees.
