The Township of West Orange Planning Board took several procedural and action items June 3:
- PB23‑04 Redwood LLC — Extension approved: The board adopted a resolution granting an extension of time (applicant’s resolution language indicated an extension through July 5, 2026). Council President Susan Scarpa abstained from the vote; the resolution was adopted.
- PB24‑01 West Essex Highlands draft resolution — Tabled: A motion to adopt the draft resolution was withdrawn and Council President Scarpa moved to table because she said she had not had adequate time to review the document. The board voted to table the matter to the Planning Board special meeting on June 10, 2026.
- PB25‑12 (262 & 270 Main Street Realty) — Continued: The supermarket application was heard for concept and architectural presentation; the board carried the matter to July 1, 2026 so engineering, traffic and stormwater reviews can be completed. No additional notice is required.
- PB26‑03 (Crestmont Country Club) — Continued: The club’s application for a realigned exit, new signal at Eagle Rock/Oval and roughly 32 additional parking spaces was initiated; testimony was accepted and the board carried the item to July 1, 2026 for further engineering and planner testimony. No additional notice is required.
- Minutes adopted: The board approved draft executive session and several sets of regular meeting minutes as read.
