Council approves $14 million regional grant package to support affordable housing projects

Councilmember Campos said the grant will support a district-two affordable housing project with partners including Mid-Pen Housing and VTA and emphasized the importance of leveraging Measure E and other local resources toward permanent housing.
The motion to approve the grant award package passed unanimously. Staff and council members said the funding will support construction and multimodal safety improvements that benefit pedestrians, bicyclists and transit users in project areas.
