Midvale secures additional $100K CDBG award for home‑repair forgivable loans

Neighborhood nonprofit partner NeighborWorks Salt Lake administers the program; Moira Gray reported the program has assisted eight families so far this program year (13 adults, seven children), with an average household income about 50% AMI and multiple single‑parent households. Since program inception in 2023 the city has helped 20 families.
The council unanimously authorized Resolution 2026‑R33 to accept the funds and extend the program period of performance to December 31, 2026 to allow time to obligate the bonus award. Staff and NeighborWorks said they anticipate rapid pipeline uptake and will prioritize the neediest households.
