Wrentham Select Board approves minutes, a business license change, event permits and a housing‑committee appointment

The board adopted the May 19, 2026 open‑session minutes by roll‑call vote, 5–0. During a public hearing the board approved a license amendment for The Gavl (36 Cell Street) reflecting a change in officers and stock ownership; Attorney Chris Timson told the board the changes are the result of an internal stock transfer following a divorce and internal corporate adjustments and that no new outside owner is joining. No members of the public spoke during the hearing; the board closed the hearing and approved the amendment 5–0.
The board also approved a special event permit for the Big Apple Vendor Market on June 20 and July 18. Cynthia Gion said about 48 vendors have signed up and that the town departments (police, fire, board of health) had cleared the application so far. The permit was approved pending final good standing with the Board of Health, Building Inspector and public‑safety officials; the motion passed 5–0.
The Select Board appointed Richard (Rick) Mayhew as the Wrentham Housing Authority representative to the Housing Production Plan steering committee, term through June 30, 2027; board members praised Mayhew’s experience on the Housing Authority. The board also accepted resignations with regret from Lisa Bailey (Historical Commission), Tatiana Denalova (Economic Development Commission) and Delena Rearen (Conservation Commission). Each personnel motion was approved by roll call, 5–0.
