Board approves four-lot Platus Hills Acres subdivision in Lake Township

The Pottawattamie County Board of Supervisors on June 2 approved the final plat for a four-lot minor subdivision titled "Platus Hills Acres" in Lake Township.
Matt Wyatt, director of planning and development, said the plat first came to the board April 7 following a March 16 Planning & Zoning review. The site is on 185th Street, just north of Council Bluffs, and includes two existing residences (including an original home with an accessory dwelling unit) and two additional buildable lots in the subdivision's center. Supervisor Wickman moved to approve resolution 2026-07; the motion was seconded and passed on a unanimous roll-call vote.
The board did not add conditions beyond the standard plat approval language and recorded the vote for the resolution.
Next steps: the plat is approved and may be recorded consistent with county procedures.
