Council reviews list of road and utility projects since 2020 and approves routine bills

City administration provided council a handout summarizing completed roadway and service-line projects since 2020 and identified funding sources for many items, including tax dollars, Ohio Department of Transportation assistance and other grants. The document was offered to address public questions about why some streets receive work and to show where recent dollars have been spent.

Council President Shane Chamberlain said the list helps the public understand where grant and tax dollars have been applied. "It's easy for us to know where it's coming from when we discuss it over and over and vote on it," he said, noting Chestnut Street as a forthcoming project. The summary also noted the city performs approximately 40 smaller infrastructure-related tasks per year (valve replacements, hydrants, etc.) that were not listed individually.

Separately, the council unanimously approved payment of city bills through Nov. 3, 2025. The motion to approve bills was moved by Steve Schneider and seconded by Jeremy Simon; the vote was six yays, zero nays. No contested billing items or specific appropriation disputes were raised in the meeting record.
