City staff said they would ask the chief of police to notify the commission if law-enforcement or public-safety issues arise during the extended-hours period so corrective steps could be considered.
The ordinance takes effect as authorized in the text of Ordinance 1821 for the temporary period covering the FIFA 2026 World Cup.
