Select Board approves Parker Beach July 4th event, Damian's Place motorcycle run and renews secondhand dealer license

The Wareham Select Board on June 2 approved a series of permits and a business license.
Suzanne Burke, identified as a Parkwood Beach Association board director, described the Parker Beach neighborhood’s annual July 4 cookout and parade. The board moved to approve the event for July 4 with a rain date of July 5, contingent on department approvals and payment of fees. The motion passed on a roll call vote.
Rachel Rossendi, executive director of Damian’s Place, requested a permit for the group’s second annual Full Throttle motorcycle run and barbecued benefit. She said last year’s ride drew about 127 bikes and asked the board to confirm road use and temporary sign placement for Oct. 18, 2026, with a rain date of Oct. 25. The board approved the permit, pending departmental approvals and fees.
The board also approved renewal of a secondhand junk dealer license for LS Computers (239 Onset Ave.), under Massachusetts General Laws chapter 140, section 54, subject to payment of fees, completion of required paperwork and satisfactory inspections.
All three items passed by roll call during the meeting; the transcript records affirmative responses from the members on the record.
