The Glynn County Mainland Planning Commission on Tuesday approved site-plan SP-26-14, allowing an open pavilion to be added to Three Oaks Restaurant at 415 Palisade Drive in the Southport planned development.
Senior Planner Christina Wright told commissioners the application seeks site-plan approval for an open pavilion and reviewed location maps, photos and the site plan. "The Three Oaks Restaurant Pavilion site plan is a request for site plan approval for the addition of an open pavilion at 415 Palisade Drive within the Southport plan development," Wright said.
The commission opened and closed the public hearing with no speakers. After brief procedural discussion, an unnamed commissioner moved to approve SP-26-14 "as presented," a motion that was seconded and approved by voice and show of hands; minutes record the vote as unanimous (4 in favor).
The approved site plan will permit construction of the covered area shown in the submitted drawings; staff said the site is zoned PD and surrounding parcels are similarly planned development or commercial uses. The commission recorded no conditions or public objections at the hearing.
The commission moved to the next agenda item after the vote; staff will process any permitting steps required for the pavilion under the approved site plan.
