Preston IWWC approves renewal for Bochese, schedules Shotts barn vote next month

The Preston Inland Wetlands and Watercourse Commission voted Feb. 17, 2026 to approve renewal of inland-wetlands application IW #2022-02 for applicant Jake R. Bochese, citing Bochese’s letter dated Feb. 10, 2026.
The motion to approve the renewal was made by Paul Andruskiewicz and seconded by Becky Hayes; the minutes record the motion as carrying with all voting members in favor. The commission recorded that renewal-request letters were still outstanding for several other files, including IW #2021-13 (Kylie and Mark Desjardins), IW #2023-10 (John and Tina Lemieux) and IW #2023-11 (Zachary Tarner).
Members were also advised that application IW #2026-01, filed by Thomas and Victoria Shotts for the construction of a barn within 100 feet of wetlands at 47 Doolittle Road, will be put to a vote at next month’s meeting; no vote took place on the Shotts application on Feb. 17.
In the Wetlands Agent report, L. Johnson said she had spoken with property owner Art Moran about his pond and an inquiry to fill the pond; the minutes do not record enforcement action or a permit decision at this meeting.
The commission approved agent mileage as "no mileage for this month" and had no violations or other matters recorded during the session.
The commission’s next regular meeting will include the scheduled vote on IW #2026-01 (Shotts) and any items that arise in follow-up correspondence.
