Morrison County honors juvenile-supervision worker Hope and welcomes Dairy Princesses

The Morrison County Board of Commissioners recognized Hope with an Outstanding Performance Award for her work in juvenile supervision and her volunteer leadership. In nominating remarks, Nicole praised Hope’s ability to balance accountability and advocacy, saying, "Hope is a unicorn when it comes to juvenile supervision," and described her cross-agency collaboration and dedication over more than 30 years.

Commissioners praised Hope’s service and noted her community volunteerism. Hope told the board, "I enjoy my job. I love coming every day and it's an honor," and accepted congratulations from the commissioners and colleagues.

Following employee recognition, the board welcomed the Morrison County Dairy Princesses. Stacy Hapkkey, the program coordinator, described the program as one that "bridges the gap between producer and consumer" through classroom visits and community outreach. Four princesses—Kayla Vernig, Cheyenne Kir, Lydia Kokit and Joselyn Wyatt—introduced themselves and described farm tasks they help with, from calf care to milking and grazing.

Commissioners used the visit to highlight Morrison County’s agricultural heritage and the importance of youth involvement in farming. The chair noted that two Morrison County farms had recently placed at the top of the state’s milk‑quality rankings, and commissioners encouraged residents to support dairy during June Dairy Month. The presentation concluded with a group photo and applause.
