Staff said the Eastwater treatment plant had advanced from about 35% to roughly 45–50% completion since the last report, the south wastewater expansion was nearing 30% and remains scheduled for a December 2027 finish, and two projects (alley amenities and a 16-inch water line on HubSmith Road) finished this quarter under budget.
On grants, staff said the city had "six total active grants with approximately $8.3 million in funding with 1.1 spent to date" and had 15 pending applications totaling about $50.6 million. The presentation identified several active and pending grants by project (M18/Lizzy Lane drainage, fire-truck and police vehicle grants, playground replacement, and South Pimen and Tempkin funding) and noted that some awards will move from pending to active upon execution of agreements.
Council asked clarifying questions about design approvals, TxDOT reviews and timelines. No formal vote was required on the update; council accepted the report and staff will return with project-specific details as needed.
