The district reported inclusion rates in regular classrooms at 84.3% and outlined training plans (29 trainings completed, 14 planned) to address gaps. The board moved to approve the Madison short- and long-term improvement plan.
ESC contracts: The board reviewed nine ESC-related contracts for 2026–2027, including Bright Days, LI Instructional Services (added vision services), a transfer of Smith Therapeutic Services responsibilities to Kathy Kemp, Armor Physical Therapy and behavior-analytic and psychological evaluation vendor agreements. Some contracts reflected routine annual increases (examples: $1-per-year adjustments described in certain vendor exhibits). The board approved the contract package with adjustments discussed during the meeting.
Transportation surplus: Staff corrected VIN and title errors on previously approved surplus buses and the board approved an updated surplus list so titles can be pulled and auction preparation can proceed.
