Southborough Planning Board elects Lisa Brashio chair, reappoints committees and extends multiple hearings

The Town of Southborough Planning Board opened with reorganization business and elected Lisa Brashio chair and a vice chair (recorded as 'Debbie' in the minutes). The board also reappointed members to the Master Plan Implementation Committee for one-year terms and filled committee assignments including a planning representative and alternate to the MetroWest/NWRC seat.
The board appointed members to the deed research subcommittee to continue work on the town’s open-space deed-restriction database, which was initially created under a Mass Autobond contract and updated more recently with CPA and ARPA funding. Staff described the database as a planning tool that links subdivision plans, deeds and mapped open-space areas and noted continuing efforts to consolidate records on a town-managed server.
On hearing schedules, the board continued or extended multiple public hearings and decision deadlines: the 22 Turnpike public hearing was continued to June 22, 2026 (with decision extended to July 17, 2026), and the 154 Turnpike modification and major site-plan application was similarly continued and extended. The 96 Mount Victory administrative item is continuing as applicants finalize required agreements and bonds.
The board also approved meeting minutes from April 27, May 11 and May 21, 2026, with minor editorial amendments, and adjourned the meeting shortly before 8 p.m.
