The Denver County Civil Service Commission voted on a roster of candidates during its Feb. 26 meeting and advanced multiple candidates to the next phase of the hiring process.
Commission staff presented candidates sequentially and commissioners recorded yes/no votes in the order of Commissioner Moore, Commissioner Stout, Commissioner Taylor and Commissioner Foster. Several candidates received unanimous approvals from the four commissioners present, while many other candidates were not advanced. A small number of candidate tallies were split and the transcript does not specify any tie‑breaking procedure on those items.
Commissioners completed the candidate-review process by rolling through the full list and announcing results; staff closed the item after the final candidate was considered.
The commission did not discuss changes to hiring standards during the roll call; procedural questions about candidate reactivation and questionnaire wording were addressed later in the meeting during the rule-change update.
The commission moved on to its executive report after concluding the candidate reviews.
