Board meeting honors three long-serving educators and hears student representatives' year-end report

Colleagues and teachers delivered tributes summarizing each retiree's contributions to literacy, mentoring and school traditions; Mary Hucken watched the recognition remotely.
Following the recognitions, student representatives gave a year-end report highlighting Pine Road's inclusion activities and "All Our Neighbors" read-aloud, middle-school Ellis Island simulation and spring concerts, and high-school activities including AP exams, Keystone testing, block-schedule trials, inductions for National Honor Society/Art Honor Society, and recent field trips.
Board members and the superintendent praised the student remarks and the staff send-off as an example of community and educator impact. No formal board action was taken on the recognitions; they were presented as tributes during the meeting.
