Council approves transit agreements for Heritage Days shuttle and church bus service
Summary
The council approved a downtown-to-airport shuttle for Heritage Days (June 28) with a $200 match and an agreement with Wesley United Methodist Church to provide bus services; staff said both agreements help secure match funding and extend transit reach.

Staff presented two transit agreements and the council approved both on June 1. Scott and Lisa described a continuing arrangement to provide a downtown‑to‑airport shuttle for the Heritage Days fly‑in on June 28 (7 a.m.–noon) with a $200 match, and a separate agreement to provide bus services to Wesley United Methodist Church to utilize transit capacity during a lower‑demand period.
"It's for Heritage Days the fly in...we get a lot of people that attend that event," Alderman Vzi said in support. Staff said Director Petrino is out of town and that transit will continue to seek match agreements to support service.
Both agreements were moved, seconded and approved by roll‑call vote.
