Owner describes family-focused brew house during Mcome liquor-license hearing

Brandon Vince, owner of the Busted Cup Brew House LLC, told the Mcome City Council at a June 1 public hearing that he plans to open a second location at 324 North Lafayette Street that will brew on-site, serve beers from about 20 taps, a few mixed cocktails and wine, and offer barbecue-style prepared foods produced through his USDA‑inspected facility.

"We'll be crafting our own brews and cocktails...we plan on having 20 taps," Vince said, describing hours that would include Fridays and Saturdays and earlier Sunday closing. He said the venue would be family‑friendly and include televisions, darts and interactive games for community patrons.

Council members welcomed the proposal. Alderman Vajeski said he had visited Vince's Burlington location and praised its "great service" and atmosphere. After questions and public comment, the council closed the hearing and the matter was scheduled for additional discussion at next week's committee of the whole for further review and any formal action.

No written protests from nearby property owners were reported at the hearing, and staff said the Mcome Police Department completed background checks of principals and found no law‑enforcement issues that would prevent issuance of a license. The council did not vote to grant the license at the meeting; the application will return to committee for follow-up.
