Dayton noted a high Net Promoter Score and strong service ratings, highlighted improvements such as a new golf‑cart fleet and rebuilt bunkers, and described upcoming projects including a teeing‑ground (tee line) renovation. He also warned of trespass concerns: ebikes riding on greens and people fishing across courses and retention ponds, which the club is logging as repeat incidents.
The golf advisory board followed with notes on pathway signage between holes, continued e‑bike and fishing trespass problems and a proposed cap that would allow up to a 7% rate increase next year; the board supported 7% as a reasonable maximum but recommended the council review and pick specific fee changes.
Council members asked staff and the police chief to coordinate on enforcement approaches for trespass and safety concerns on the course and surrounding neighborhoods. The council confirmed the proposed rates will appear on the July agenda for deliberation.
