Council approves engineering contracts, software renewals and budget amendment

At its June 2 meeting the Tuscaloosa City Council approved several procurement and contracting measures that city staff described as routine operational needs.
The council approved a contract amendment with Duncan Coker Associates and authorized execution of a supplemental reimbursable agreement with the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT). It also approved a professional engineering-services contract with TTL and tentatively awarded a public-works contract to NC Morgan Construction Co., Inc. Council moved and approved professional services agreements with ICC Community Development Solutions LLC for Laserfish server upgrades and an annual Laserfish renewal, a professional services contract with ESB Group Inc., and a purchase of equipment or services from Mohawk Lifts. The council also approved amendment number 12 to the FY2026 general fund reserve for future improvements.
Each item was moved, seconded and approved by roll call during the resolutions and ordinances portion of the agenda. Council did not discuss dollar totals or contract specifics during the public portion of the meeting beyond staff recommendations; those details are available in the procurement files and the meeting packet.
