ULCT convenes shelter mitigation task force to standardize costs and formulas

Molly, who will support the task force (non‑voting), said the group will recommend how mitigation funds are distributed and whether communities undertaking complementary work (such as permitting permanent supportive housing) should receive offsets. The task force membership includes three shelter city representatives (Ogden Mayor Ben Nadolski; South Salt Lake Mayor Sheree Wood; Toula Mayor Marissa Manzion), three non‑shelter city representatives (Bountiful Mayor and board president Kate Bradshaw; Oram Mayor Karen McCandless; Springdale Mayor), League board member Barbara Bruno, and three state appointees including Salt Lake Mayor Aaron Mendenhall and the Department of Workforce Services executive director’s designee.
Molly said the task force will report back to LPC and the League board and will coordinate with the Office of Shelter (OS) and other state stakeholders. League staff encouraged members to provide feedback to staff as the task force begins work.
