The Greece Town Board voted on Nov. 20 to amend the Official Zoning Map and rezone about 0.33 acres at 3223 West Ridge Road from R1E single‑family residential to BP professional office, following a public hearing and an environmental assessment.
Chris Schultz of Schultz Engineering and a project representative said the property has housed professional office uses for more than 30 years under a prior use variance and that rezoning would align the map with long‑standing use and the town comprehensive plan. County review produced no substantive objections, and the applicants told the board there is no planned redevelopment tied to the map change.
The board adopted the environmental assessment form and made a SEQR negative declaration, concluding the proposal would not have a significant adverse environmental impact, and then approved the map amendment subject to the conditions stated in the resolution. The motion and subsequent findings referenced authority under New York State Town Law, Article 16, and the Code of the Town of Greece.
The board recorded the motion as carried following the public hearing and the presentation by the applicant’s representatives.
