Greece board to livestream meetings and honors longtime zoning chair Al Maludis

The Greece Town Board announced on Oct. 16 that it is beginning to live‑stream its meetings on YouTube and the town’s Facebook page, aiming to make meetings more accessible to residents who cannot attend in person. The Supervisor said the project has been months in the making and that recordings will be retained on YouTube for later viewing.
The livestream rollout was followed by a proclamation honoring Al Maludis, identified in the meeting as zoning board chairman and a Greece resident since 1954. The Supervisor recounted Maludis’s service—planning board membership in the early 1980s, service on the town economic council, decades on the zoning board of appeals (chair since 2009), Rotary and Chamber of Commerce leadership, community broadcasting and volunteer firefighting—and presented him with the proclamation.
Al Maludis thanked the board, recognized the supervisors he has served under and thanked family and friends in the audience. "I want to thank the Supervisor and the town board for their confidence in me and allowing me to serve," Maludis said. Board members gathered at the podium afterward for photos that will be shared on the town’s Facebook page.
The board also used the opening portion of the meeting to swear in officers and to remind residents that future meetings will be available online; the Supervisor encouraged viewers to use the archived videos for reference.
