Posey said the applicant requests relocating 14 parking spaces, including an ADA space, to form a hammerhead turnaround intended to allow emergency vehicles to enter and exit safely even when guest cars are parked.
Board members focused on engineering details. Members asked for plans that explicitly show a 26-foot aisle between parking spaces and a 28-foot turning radius for fire apparatus, and flagged a discrepancy on the submitted diagram that listed a 20-foot aisle in one place and 26 feet in another. The board agreed the applicant must provide revised, dimensioned plans demonstrating the required widths and radii before the board proceeds.
The board accepted the application for review and classified it as a Type II action under SEQR; members also determined that a public hearing was not required for this modification. The board asked the applicant to return next month with the updated engineering documentation and marked the matter for further review.
