At the June 1 meeting, Patrick Boland provided an update on the 57th John Mundy Mill Street Run, saying last year’s event brought 26 high schools and that the community event this year is scheduled for Sept. 12.
Boland said the Mill Street Run has grown: organizers recorded 755 athletes across five races, including about 250 open‑race runners and 56 participants in the 1‑mile fun run. He emphasized the race remains free for borough children and depends on sponsor support and fees from open runners to cover costs.
Boland thanked sponsors that helped make the event possible, including Penn Community Bank, King George Inn, Driftwater Adventures and several local businesses, and said volunteers and emergency‑services partners like the Bucks County Rescue Squad are essential to the run’s safety and operation.
During a brief Q&A, attendees confirmed the kids’ fun run starts at 7:45 a.m., and organizers said registration is available at runsignup.com under Mill Street Run.
