Batesville aldermen adopt engine-brake, natural-gas and residential garbage measures

The Batesville Board of Aldermen voted to adopt three measures that affect local traffic, utility billing and sanitation.
An engine-brake ordinance — drafted following an earlier request by Alderman Jim Mloud — was presented to the board and adopted after a motion that passed with no recorded opposition.
