The Blaine City Council on Monday adopted resolutions to vacate drainage and utility easements requested by Taylor Properties for parcels in the Prime North/Northtown Mall area.
Director of Engineering Schoelander told the council the city received petitions from Russell Taylor representing Taylor Properties on April 9 asking to vacate easements on Lot 2, Block 1 Prime North Addition and on Lot 1, Block 12 of Glimcher Northtown Mall 2nd Edition; staff reviewed the requests and recommended approval because the easements are no longer needed for the properties’ proposed development.
With no members of the public speaking during the hearings, council moved and adopted resolutions for both easement vacations. The council’s adoption authorizes city staff to record the vacating resolutions and proceed with any necessary plan adjustments tied to the property owner’s development work.
Council did not provide further substantive conditions in the motion and no remonstrations or objections were recorded in the public hearing.
