Mamakating board approves several routine purchases, appoints planning-board member and denies trailer request

On personnel, the board moved Eric from an alternate seat into a full planning-board member term through Dec. 31, 2028. The transcript contains two spellings for Eric’s surname (appearing as both “Halahan” and later as “Callahan”); the board voted to confirm the appointment.
On permits and other routine business, the board set fall cleanup dates for Oct. 2–4, denied a resident’s request to place a construction trailer on a property (the board said the applicant may reapply after obtaining a building permit), and tabled a proposed $32,000 purchase of a 2026 Jeep Compass pending further information on usage and leasing options.
