A board member moved to adopt the superintendent's recommendation; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote with no recorded opposition. Board members who served on the search committee described the process as rigorous and praised stakeholder engagement.
The board recessed briefly after the vote. The appointment is subject to normal administrative onboarding; the board did not take additional votes during the meeting relating to contract terms or start date.
