Chief of Staff Karen Nyman described Labadini’s service to the town since September 2025 as assistant HR director and interim director and cited her prior experience as human resources director for Norfolk County and work in the private sector. "Michelle has been serving the Town of Braintree as the assistant HR director since September of 2025 and most recently as the interim director," Nyman said, urging favorable action.
Following a recommendation from the Ways and Means Committee, the council moved and seconded a motion to confirm the appointment under sections 2‑10 and 3‑3 of the town charter. The motion passed unanimously and Labadini briefly addressed the council to thank them for the appointment.
What happens next: Labadini will assume the duties of Human Resources Director, and town staff will proceed with any transition tasks associated with the appointment.
