Atlantic County commissioners approve package of grants, contracts, appointments and solicitations

The Atlantic County Board of Commissioners adopted a broad consent agenda that included grant resolutions, contract awards, procurement approvals, appointments and budget-recognition items.
Resolutions 254 through 261, a set of grant-related items, were combined and approved. A commissioner asked which bridges would be included in a transportation grant; staff said the SJTPO-funded item covers four counties and listed the specific bridges further in the background documentation and indicated there was no county match for that particular item.
The board also approved Resolution 262 to establish a pool of appraisal firms and combined and adopted bid awards for Resolutions 263–267. Resolution 268, a change order related to drainage issues, was approved. Chapter 159 budget-recognition resolutions (284–287) were adopted on consent.
The board combined and approved appointments (Resolutions 288–289), including a noted welcome to Kimberly Moore for an advisory council, and roadway solicitations (Resolutions 290–292).
During consideration of miscellaneous items a commissioner asked for outcome metrics for "Operation Helping Hands," including how many individuals were served and how referrals are tracked; administration said the prosecutor's office, which receives the funds, has a subcontract with the Brooks Association and that administration would obtain metrics from them.
Most consent items were approved on recorded roll calls with no public comment; where votes were recorded the transcript shows commissioners voting in the affirmative across the combined items.
