Commissioners noted the Office of Tourism and state grant programs sometimes list multiple potential signers (land‑management agency, tourism office, or commission), which can create pressure to obtain a letter quickly. The commission asked administration to revise the draft to add chair prerogative language for emergencies and to return the policy for adoption following minor edits and stakeholder notification.
