The Manvel City Council voted on June 19 to appoint 10 individuals (names listed in the meeting packet) to an 11‑member Charter Review Commission. Council members discussed the process for filling the remaining vacancy and said staff will convene the commission once the final member is appointed.
Tammy noted the earlier council direction that each member would recommend one person and that the chairs of several advisory boards be eligible if they live in the city. Several council members expressed appreciation for the applicants and the willingness to serve. The motion to appoint the ten listed individuals passed unanimously.
Council directed staff to begin coordinating meeting dates after finalizing the roster.
