The Jefferson County Board of Zoning Appeals convened on May 6, 2026, at 5:00 P.M. at the Jefferson County Surveyor's Office Annex in Madison. President David Ferguson confirmed a quorum with members Fred Stilwell, Kellen Cronen and new member Matt Todd present.
Early in the meeting Kellen Cronen moved to approve the minutes of the April 7, 2026 meeting; Fred Stilwell seconded and the board voted unanimously to approve the minutes. Minutes were recorded as prepared by Secretary Taylor Baulac.
President Ferguson introduced Matt Todd as a newly seated member of the board; the board had no further discussion about the appointment.
Later in the meeting the board handled a Developmental Standards Variance application for 8484 E S.R. 56 (parcel 39-11-07-000-007.001-008), which was tabled to June 2, 2026 because the applicant, Jared Kirby, did not appear. The meeting concluded after Kellen Cronen moved to adjourn and Matt Todd seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
