Childers said he raised the matter with the sheriff, who told him dispatch had paged Jarrett and then attempted other departments; Childers said he had expected better communication and urged the board to address response reliability and staff responsiveness. The board acknowledged the comment; staff said they would note the concern and follow up outside the meeting. No formal action on emergency-response protocols was taken at the June 1 meeting.
