Lewis County commissioners ratify court audiovisual upgrade, extend courthouse grant and approve contracts and appointments

CHEHALIS, Wash. — The Lewis County Board of Commissioners approved a package of deliberation items Tuesday, ratifying an audiovisual upgrade for Superior Court, extending a courthouse grant, and approving contracts, appointments and other administrative items by recorded 3-0 votes.
Dakota Harmonson, Superior Court administrator, asked the board to ratify Resolution 26-168 to proceed with an audiovisual upgrade from Avidex to replace end-of-life video-conferencing and control systems. Harmonson said funding for the work will come from the equipment repair and replacement fund and the trial court improvement account and noted the contract had already been signed and is being ratified by the board.
Matt Patana of Capital Infrastructure requested approval of an amendment to grant number FY22-9006-00001 to extend the grant through June 30, 2027 so the county can finish exterior and interior courthouse projects, including a new fire alarm.
