Council reviewed annual liquor license renewals and noted several incomplete applications lacking updated insurance dates or required payments. Members said incomplete packages should not be approved and directed staff to contact delinquent applicants.
The council adopted a resolution to issue licenses to the four establishments whose applications were complete and to withhold approval for the remaining applicants until required documentation is submitted by the next deadline. "We can't issue licenses without the required documentation," one council member said, citing the state Department of Alcohol and Tobacco requirements.
Staff will contact the deficient applicants and bring completed applications back for council consideration at the next meeting; if documents are not submitted by the deadline the council indicated it would not approve renewals.
